The #99 Mile March is open to musicians of all experience ranges from complete beginner to career expert. We will provide “cheat sheets” of chords and lyric sheets for all marchers.
We ask that you bring portable, inexpensive instruments for our march, as we will be walking outside under various typical northeastern July weather conditions. If you don’t have an instrument, consider a shaker or tambourine. Please label your case distinctly so you can find it!
We have chosen a set list of songs that are simple to play, upbeat (for our marching), and carry messages of social justice for our singing. We plan to teach each other songs and learn from the communities we travel through, but these songs will get us started:
